Mark Scott
Mark Scott
Veterinary Surgeon (Principal)

Mark was born in Newcastle and qualified at Onderstepoort in South Africa in 1992. He has been back in England for the last 20 years, having worked in Essex and West Sussex before moving to Alton to become the sole principal of Amery Veterinary Group in 2006. He enjoys all aspects of small animal practice and the challenges of running a small business.

Louise graduated from University of Bristol in 1983 and has worked for Amery Vets since 2006. Prior to joining us, she worked in a small animal practice near Southampton. Louise is married with two daughters and she coaches swimming at Alton and Bordon in her spare time.

Veterinary Surgeon

Annedine qualified at Onderstepoort in South Africa and joined our practice in 2010. Annedine has a strong interest in Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys water sports, particularly sailing and diving, in her spare time. Annedine has a rescue cat, Max, who loves company and is very sulky when she goes on holiday!

Bonnie qualified at Onderstepoort in South Africa in and joined Amery Vets in 2015. Bonnie's particular interest is soft tissue surgery.

Carme Marin

Veterinary Surgeon

Carme joined us as a part-time vet in early 2010. She is originally from Spain but qualified in England at Cambridge University. Carme has a particular interest in exotic species and often sees ferrets, birds and the more unusual patients. She also offers acupuncture to our patients; please ask if you would like more information.

George qualified in 2015 at the University of Medicine in Lasi in Romania. George has wanted to be a veterinary surgeon since he was 10 years old. He has a particular interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.

Head Veterinary Nurse

Sarah is our Practice Head Nurse. She graduated with a BSc in Veterinary Nursing Science in November 2008 at Hartpury Agricultural College. Sarah has a particular interest in nutrition and is a Pet Health Nutritionist. She is also primarily responsible for the processing of our clients insurance claims. Sarah has a rescue cat called Chilly.

Senior Veterinary Nurse

Jess is Senior Nurse at the Alton branch having joined Amery Vets in 2006. She qualified in 2009 and is now a clinical coach and is also very involved in training and developing our student and trainee nurses and in keeping our Practice Procedure and Protocols up to date. She is enjoys all aspects of her role as Senior Nurse. She owns Jack Russells, Stig and Fenton, who are usually to be found lounging happily on the sofa in our staff room!

Rosy is the Senior Nurse at our Bordon surgery. She joined the practice in 2008, having done work experience with us while still at school, and completed her veterinary nurse training in January 2012. Rosy is a clinical coach and is very involved in the training and development of all our student and trainee nurses. Rosy has three cats.

Tara joined our nursing team in 2016 and also qualified with a BSc from Middlesex University in 2016. Since a child when nursing her own cat back to health following a car accident, she has always wanted to be a Vet Nurse.

Lucy qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005, whilst working at Amery Vets and it is lovely to have her back as part of our team again. Lucy will mostly be assisting with nursing duties at our Bordon Surgery.

Naomi is a Veterinary Nursing Student currently coming to the end of her 3 year FDSC Veterinary Nursing and Applied Animal Behaviour Degree. Naomi enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing with a particular interest in exotic pets. Her mischievous dogs Gus and Indie are never too far away as they love coming to work with their mum!

Danielle was our Saturday assistant for five years, and joined us full time in June 2016 after gaining her Animal Management qualification at South Downs College. Danielle has a particular interest in animal behaviour and plans to study this in more depth once she has gained her Veterinary Nursing qualification. Danielle has a ginger and white rescue cat called Freddie.

Becca did work experience at our Bordon surgery in 2012 and she was such a natural with animals that we employed her as a Saturday Assistant in 2015. She has always wanted to work in the Veterinary environment and we were very pleased when she joined our nursing team in 2016. She has a cat called Wiggle and four horses.

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

We were pleased to welcome Harriet to our nursing team in August 2017. Harriet has always wanted to work with animals and completed her Animal Management Diploma at Sparsholt College in 2016. Prior to joining us she was working as a dog groomer and so is very proficient at handling various breeds of dog.

Reception Team

Chris, also known as 'the foreign lady', is Canadian and is the longest standing member of staff, having been with the practice since 1998! Chris makes sure that the reception at Bordon runs smoothly and is always available to answer your queries, especially relating to Pet Passports, on which she is something of an expert. At home Chris has a cockatiel named Budge, who rules the roost!

Alice has worked at Amery Vets since 2002, and since the birth of her two children has returned part-time. Alice, a cat lover, job shares with Chris and can be found on reception at our Bordon surgery.

Sheree was a client of Amery Vets before she joined our Reception Team. She has two dogs, 6 chickens, a gecko, a bearded dragon and a guinea pig and would have many more animals if her partner allowed her to!

Reception Team

Zoe has been a long standing client of Amery Vets for over 20 years before joining our Reception Team at the Bordon Surgery. Zoe has five Rottweilers, four chickens, three cats and four horses. She comes to work for a break!

Elaine has been a client at our Alton Surgery for many years until we recently enticed her to join our reception team. She has lovable dogs Dylan and Dougal who are regulars in Flood Meadows, just behind the surgery.

Director

Donne grew up on a dairy farm in South Africa and as a child was always surrounded by a menagerie of various animals, giving her lots of experience of hand-rearing youngsters! Donne is kept busy by her two teenagers, Daniel and Aerin, dogs Gwen and Mitchell, and various cats.
