Mark Scott
Mark Scott
Veterinary Surgeon (Principal)

Mark was born in Newcastle and qualified in South Africa in 1992. He has been in back in England for the last 20 years, having worked in Essex and West Sussex before moving to Alton to become the sole principal of Amery Veterinary Group in 2006. He enjoys all aspects of small animal practice and the challenges of running a small business. He is married, has two children and owns three cats called Darwin, Spirit and Aslan and dogs Gwen and Mitchell.

Veterinary Surgeon

Louise graduated from University of Bristol in 1983 and has worked for Amery Vets since 2006. Prior to joining us, she worked in a small animal practice near Southampton. Louise is married with two daughters. Some of you may recognize Louise as she coaches swimming at Alton and Bordon in her spare time. Louise has two cats who joined her after being abandoned in a cardboard box in our car park.

Veterinary Surgeon

Philip graduated in 2004 from the same university as Mark, and worked in a veterinary clinic in Beacon Bay, South Africa before coming to England to join Amery Vets in June 2008. Philip has a cat called Twinks, who had been taken to the local RSPCA cattery as a stray with multiple fractures after being hit by a car.

Carme joined us as a part-time vet in early 2010. She is originally from Spain but qualified in England at Cambridge University.

Liz qualified in Australia. She has two border collies, Quinn and Gyr, who she enjoys training for agility and obedience. When not at work, Liz enjoys riding her horse and exploring the countryside. As well as working hard in the practice, she is currently taking a two year small animal surgery course.

Veterinary Surgeon

Annedine is our latest recruit, joining us from South Africa. She enjoys water sports, particularly sailing and diving, in her spare time.

Qualified Veterinary Nurse

Jo is Head Nurse for the practice and is based at the Bordon surgery. Jo also oversees the training of our student veterinary nurses. She has a cat called Smudge, and two dogs - Moose the scottish terrier and Arka the border terrier.

Qualified Veterinary Nurse

Sarah has been with the practice for 7 years, and graduated with a BSc in Veterinary Nursing Science in November 2008. Sarah is a Pet Health Counsellor and has three cats of her own, Roger, Scampi and Abby. Sarah is Senior Nurse at our Grayshott surgery.

Qualified Veterinary Nurse

Catherine qualified as a veterinary nurse in August 2008 and is Senior Nurse at the Bordon surgery. Catherine started with us on a voluntary basis at the age of 17 before she started her veterinary nurse training. Catherine owns guineapigs, and is especially interested in the care of our smaller patients.

Jess is Senior Nurse at the Alton branch. She has a jack russell called Stig who can be seen in her photo. Jess qualified in 2009 and is enjoying her new role as Senior Nurse.

Qualified Veterinary Nurse

Steph qualified in 2002, although she is a recent addition to the team at Amery Vets. Steph has two border collies, Max and Patch, as well as five cats - Diesel, Pepper, Chloe, Mischief and Auriol. Steph is exceptionally good at handling the more fiery of our feline patients!

Qualified Veterinary Nurse

Rosy joined us in July 2008, having done work experience with us in the past, and completed her veterinary nurse training in January 2012. She has a springer/labrador cross called Holly.

Emma is based at our Bordon branch, and started with us after gaining a National Diploma in Animal Management. She is a qualified Animal Nursing Assistant and is in the final year of her veterinary nurse training.

Kayleigh joined us at the end of summer 2010 as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse. Kayleigh enjoys looking after her pet guinea pigs and has a recent addition to her family, rescue terrier Riley, who is keeping her very busy!

Annie has been working as a Saturday Assistant for us for the last few years, and has now joined us as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse. She has four springer spaniels and several cats, as well as Rufus, the rottweiler puppy.

Practice Manager

Donné is a Partner, as well as being Practice Manager and overseeing the running of the practice. She grew up on a dairy farm in South Africa and as a child was always surrounded by a menagerie of various animals, giving her lots of experience of hand-rearing youngsters! Donné is kept busy when not at work by her two children, Daniel and Aerin, dogs Gwen and Mitchell, and her three cats.

Assistant Practice Manager

Jan is our Assistant Practice Manager. She is a qualified teacher and has four golden retrievers who enjoy coming to work with her, cats Hovis and Cally, and the occasional foster cat.

Reception Team

Chris, also known as 'the foreign lady' is Canadian and is one of our longest standing members of staff. Chris makes sure that the reception at Bordon runs smoothly and is always available to answer your queries, especially relating to Pet Passports, on which she is something of an expert!

Reception Team

Liz was practice manager at a busy referral centre for many years, but has now joined us part-time as a receptionist. She has one dog and three cats and enjoys horse riding in her spare time. Liz is mostly to be found at our Grayshott surgery.

Alice Murphy
Reception Team

Alice has worked at Amery Vets since 2002, and since the birth of her two children helps part-time with admin and reception duties. She shares her home with two cats, Goz and Zeus.

Administration Assistant

Cheryl started working at Amery Vets as a trainee nurse at 17, and having an amazing memory for names is a very useful member of the team. Since having her two children she has come back as a part-time admin assistant and enjoys the break from home! Cheryl has a shih tzu called Cookie who enjoys the rough and tumble of family life.
